Nikhil Mathew is a doctoral student in urban studies and social anthropology. His interests include infrastructure, architecture, human settlements, urban science and technology, surveillance, marginality, stratification, urban culture and people, ethnography, and grounded theory.
Currently engaged in his doctoral research, Nikhil undertakes a historical-anthropological investigation of built environments' origins, organization, and reproduction.
With a balanced approach to urban planning, he examines theoretical and practical aspects to better understand how it relates to the social world. Furthermore, Nikhil remains devoted to examining the intricate connections between human life and the right to the city within contemporary urban contexts.
